We need to fully fund the La Mesa Police Department and the Heartland Fire Department. We must ensure first responders have the staffing, training, and resources they need to keep neighborhoods safe while responding quickly in emergencies. We should advocate for unhoused La Mesans to get access to services, and for infrastructure that helps our streets and sidewalks remain safe for everyday use.

La Mesa families deserve a city they can afford to live in, raise kids in, and retire in. That means supporting responsible housing solutions, protecting homeowners from runaway costs, and keeping taxes and fees reasonable. We must plan for growth in a way that preserves neighborhood character and ensures stability for our residents, while expanding opportunity for the next generation.

A connected city is a healthy city. Local government works best when residents feel heard, informed, and respected. I am committed to transparent decision-making, open communication, and meaningful community collaboration before major decisions are made.
